Warn
To WARN. v.a...1. To
caution against any fault or danger; to give previous notice of ill....2. To
admonish of any duty to be performed, or practice or place to be avoided
or forsaken. - Samuel Johnson's Dictionary of the English Language
2 Chronicles 19:10
And what cause soever shall come to you of your brethren that dwell in
their cities, between blood and blood, between law and commandment,
statutes and judgments, ye shall even warn them that they trespass not
against the LORD, and so
wrath come upon you, and upon your brethren: this do, and ye shall not
trespass.
Psalm 19:7-11 The law
of the LORD is
perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD
is sure,
making wise the simple. The statutes of the LORD
are right,
rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD
is pure,
enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD
is clean,
enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD
are true
and
righteous altogether. More to be desired
are they
than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the
honeycomb. Moreover by them is thy servant warned:
and in
keeping of them there is
great reward.
Go, study the Bible; God’s Word is a light
That brightly will shine in your way;
’Twill warn you of dangers, ’twill lead you
aright,
From time to eternity’s day.
Go, study the Bible! Go, read it with
prayer;
And look for the treasures of love hidden
there;
Search well thro’ its pages for Heaven’s
bright ore,
As years hasten onward, we’ll prize it still
more.

Jeremiah 6:10 To
whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold, their
ear is
uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the LORD is
unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it.
Ezekiel 3:17-21 Son
of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore
hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. When I say
unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning,
nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life;
the same wicked man
shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor
from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast
delivered thy soul. Again, When a righteous
man doth
turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a
stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him
warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath
done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine
hand. Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous
man, that
the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live,
because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.
Ezekiel 33:2-9 Son of
man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I
bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of
their coasts, and set him for their watchman: If when he seeth the sword
come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people; Then
whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if
the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.
He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall
be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul. But if
the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the
people be not warned; if the sword come, and take
any person
from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I
require at the watchman's hand. So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a
watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at
my mouth, and warn them from me. When I say unto the wicked, O wicked
man,
thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from
his way, that wicked man
shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he
do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast
delivered thy soul.
Ready to speak, ready
to warn,
Ready o’er souls to yearn,
Ready in life, ready in death,
Ready for His return.
Ready to go, ready to
stay,
Ready my place to fill,
Ready for service, lowly or great,
Ready to do His will.

Matthew 3:7-9 But when
he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said
unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the
wrath to come? Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance: And
think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to
our father:
for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up
children unto Abraham.
Acts 10:22 And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and
one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the
Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his
house, and to hear words of thee.
Acts 20:29-31 For I know this, that after my departing shall
grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your
own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away
disciples after them. Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space
of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.
1 Corinthians 4:14
I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn
you.

Colossians 1:27-28
To whom God would make known what is
the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is
Christ in you, the hope of glory: Whom we preach, warning every man, and
teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect
in Christ Jesus:
Hebrews 11:7 By faith
Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear,
prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned
the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
