April 2026 Writing and Journaling Challenge
Write about some special blessing God gives you this month. James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. Proverbs 10:22 The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it. ----------------------- April felt like a busy month in some ways. It was also a very cloudy month here. This was a blessing in reality because we had had a very dry autumn and winter and we needed rain badly. In April the Lord gave us a lot of rain, and in mostly manageable increments. I ended up doing my light therapy regularly throughout the month, but the rain was worth the extra cloudiness. Although the bluebonnets were skimpy in our immediate area this year, the rain came in time for a lot of other wildflowers to bloom, and that has been an real treat after such a dry winter. I didn't expect it to end up being such a beautiful spring, but it has been, thank the Lord. March was unseasonably warm, but April was milder. Some days were quite cool. This was also a blessing to me because the heat is very hard on me. Although we had a few chilly nights, it never frosted again, which was also a blessing. In the midst of all that rain, we never had to go into the storm shelter once, and that was an unusual thing for April storms in Texas! There were severe storms around, but none of them ever came directly over us. We had a lot of blessings in April, but the plentiful, mostly gentle rain and the abundant wildflowers are especially sweet to me. ----------------------- Free April journaling card.
