What About the Duggars?
Introduction
I have been collecting research and information on the Duggar family and writing rough drafts for awhile with the intention of dealing with this subject here. At this point (Aug. 2015) it seemed like I needed to go ahead and get the page open and not wait since so much controversy has arisen due to the recent revelations about Josh Duggar. One thing I want to be clear about - if the Duggars had not put themselves forward publically, and been put forward by others, as shining examples of Christianity, purity, "Quiverfull", Gothardism, and mega families, I would not be dealing with them here in this way. They have brought this attention upon themselves because they have made themselves public examples by their own choice - they accepted the position, primarily through their reality show "19 Kids and Counting" and their connection with Bill Gothard, ATI (Advanced Training Institute) and IBLP (Institute of Basic Life Principles).
