The Home Maker's Corner

Romans 14:19
Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.

"But the true idea of a home is that it is a place for growth. It is a place for the parents themselves to grow--to grow into beauty of character, to grow in refinement, in knowledge, in strength, in wisdom, in patience, gentleness, kindliness, and all the Christian graces and virtues."
Homemaking by J.R. Miller, 1882

Welcome!
Purpose of this page:

The work of a Christian woman is in the home, and that is the highest calling any woman can have as it is the role given to her by God Almighty. This includes unmarried daughters who are learning to be keepers at home. We desire to encourage and edify our sisters in Christ in this important and blessed role. Ladies, please enjoy this page in the Lord.

This page is edited by Mary Stephens (formerly Van Nattan). We are trying to provide Bible-based helps and studies for home makers. We desire to avoid the feelings-based "Christianity" to which many women fall prey.  We hope to help women learn to think.  Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD... Isaiah 1:18

All scripture quoted in The Home Maker's Corner is from the Authorized King James Bible.  Used by command from the Author, Jesus Christ - King of kings and Lord of lords, Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
All scripture quotes are in red to help you distinguish between what the word of God says and what humans think.

From Blessed Quietness Editor-- This web page is now a ministry of Mary Van Nattan Stephens as the wife of Peter Stephens. Emails will be pre-read by Peter and forwarded to Mary if he feels she can be of help.
