Stained Glass Windows

From Eunice Ampersee

 

Melt in large pan and cool:
1 12 oz. pkg. dark chocolate chips
1 stick margarine or butter

Add:
1/2 C. chopped nuts
1 sm. pkg. colored miniature marshmallows

Form into log and roll in powdered sugar and coconut.
Wrap in waxed paper.

Refrigerate and slice when hardened.
Best kept in fridge or very cool place.

 


 

Gramma always made these cookies in the winter, either for Christmas or New Years,
and they were a favorite of the family. They are good any time of the year. The pretty
colored marshmallows make them interesting and more flavorful. Gramma always did
like pastel colors. Maybe that's why her house was painted mint green for so many years.
