From Gramma Hoover's Recipes:

Caramel
Rolls

12 brown and serve rolls, broken in half
1/2 Cup brown sugar
4 Tbls. butter
2 Tbls. light corn syrup

In a small sauce pan cook brown sugar, butter and syrup just till melted.
Grease muffin pans (24 small - not mini - cups)
Spoon small amount of caramel sauce into each cup. Dividing evenly.
Place half a bake and serve roll in each cup.

Bake just till rolls are browned at temp. recommended on the package.

Add pecan pieces to make praline rolls. Very good!

These rolls are delicious and were a favorite. They are quick and easy, but the results are above average for "pre-manufactured" food! :-)

I found this recipe on the back of Gramma's dinner ticket for the 1967 Annual Dinner of the Africa Inland Mission. It was held that year at South Christian Elementary School, Kalamazoon, Michigan.

A fond memory from Gramma:

"When Bruce was just a little boy one day he
went away for the day with his dad.
When they came home in the evening, I went
out to meet them and Bruce came to me saying,

'When day is over,
Home comes the rover,
For Mother's kiss -- sweeter this,
Than any other thing.
' "

(From "Wishing" by William Allingham.)
